Projul
Where Projul fits
Projul is a construction-management candidate for teams linking sales, estimates and project administration. Its published plan comparison includes scheduling, mobile photos and invoicing, with deeper financial and purchasing functions depending on tier. Consider it when accepted scope needs to reach both the site and the office without a separate spreadsheet becoming the unofficial source of truth. A remodeler, a roofing construction crew and a commercial subcontractor still have different approval and reporting needs. Use this profile as an evaluation starting point, not evidence that every contractual process or accounting requirement is covered.
Monthly, annual and the real package
Starter covers up to three users at $249 monthly or $2,388 annually. Core, Core+ and Pro also offer monthly and annual billing. The annual figures are not cancellable monthly prices. Core+ adds costing, client access and QuickBooks Online; purchasing requires Pro. Confirm currency, regional eligibility, accounting edition and the complete quote. Compare onboarding by billing mode: the advertised annual support package excludes Starter. A demo is not a verified free trial.
A construction-project pilot
Create a fictional kitchen renovation with three cost groups, an allowance and a subcontracted installation. Begin with an inquiry and an estimate, then preserve the accepted version before creating the working project. Schedule an inspection dependency and move it by two days: check whether the affected tasks and crew assignments remain coherent. Have the field user attach a progress photo to the correct task, not merely to a general gallery. Record a client-requested variation and establish who can approve it before work is instructed. For the required tier, create a purchase order, receive only part of the material and show the remaining commitment beside actual job costs. Add a supplier credit and a progress invoice, then ask for an export that explains the figures. If any stage needs a separate tool, record that dependency and the extra responsibility rather than treating the demonstration as complete.
Accounting and partner access
Check the specific QuickBooks edition supported by your proposed package. Test one corrected invoice, one deposit and one supplier credit before treating the connection as an accounting solution. Ask who resolves synchronization failures and how duplicates are prevented. Invite a test subcontractor and a test client separately: the two roles should not automatically see the same commercial information. Confirm whether photographs, cost details and messages can be restricted as intended. On mobile, test your own devices and reception; a documented app is not evidence of universal offline availability.
Implementation and exit checks
Agree one coding structure for estimate groups, tasks and accounts before migrating live work. Import a small completed job and reconcile its totals; then test an active job with an approved change still awaiting billing. Decide whether old projects remain in the previous system or need a full history transfer. Keep signed agreements and critical documents independently recoverable during cutover. Ask what exports contain, how attachments are retrieved, and what access remains after cancellation. Training should include a replacement office user and someone approving costs, not only the enthusiastic person who attended the sales call.
Alternatives to compare
Compare BuilderPad and JobTread for residential project coordination, or Contractor Foreman for broader construction administration. Planyard focuses on financial commitments rather than every enterprise RFI or submittal requirement. Test the same estimate, approved variation and supplier delay; quote the actual tier and access model required.
Procore warrants a separate comparison when formal RFIs, submittals and drawing approvals are essential; verify contractual record requirements rather than assuming residential project coverage is equivalent.

These are documentation-based evaluation questions, not a hands-on review or a ranked recommendation. Confirm your required country, plan, devices, integrations and contract terms with the provider. A free plan, a demonstration and a refund guarantee are not interchangeable with a free trial. Use fictional data until access and data handling are agreed.
